Happy Ramadan ! (00:00 full belly , half asleep )

So as a Muslim  it  has been 5 days since I’ve been fasting  . People might ask about the reason why Muslims fast during this month  . First of all the month of Ramadan is when the Holy Quran "was sent down from heaven” . It is The third "pillar" or religious obligation , during  this holly month we try to concentrate on our faith , read Quran worship , give charity , basically be close to Allah , and becoming a good person . The second thing is that through fasting we can experience hunger in order to develop sympathy for the poor and appreciate everything god gave us  . Fasting is also beneficial to the health and provides a break in the cycle of rigid habits or overindulgence.
Let’s talk about how we deal with fasting . believe me when I tell you every  single muslim wait for this time of the  year with excitement because it’s very beautiful how everyone become kind , how family is brought up together during iftar’s time ( break the fast ). Sooo we arise early in the morning during Ramadan to have a pre-dawn breakfast meal, known as suhoor. And obviously , during the Fast of Ramadan  we are not allowed to eat or drink during the daylight hours. Smoking and sexual relations are also forbidden during fasting. At the end of the day the fast is broken with prayer and a meal called the iftar .(and miaaaaaamy  this worths  the pain off standing preparing different meals ) .
In addition to the five daily prayers, during Ramadan we  recite a special prayer called the Taraweeh prayer (Night Prayer). The length of this prayer is usually 2-3 times as long as the daily prayers. Some people  spend the entire night in prayer.
Anyway , Many people find that because they are fasting they lose their tempers more quickly. So one of the first things that the fast teaches is self-control and patience.well ,  fasting teaches us different(good) things . I used to have a kinda depression before starting this month . now it’s all gone . I feel so happy mashalah ,  thanks to God
